Katharina Többen ist „Publisher of the year 2007“
Die Jury des Gourmand World Cookbook Awards hat Katharina Többen, die Geschäftsführerin und Verlegerin des UMSCHAU Buchverlages, im Vorfeld der London Book Fair als “Publisher of the year 2007” ausgezeichnet. Katharina Többen erhielt den “Special Award of the Jury” für ihren bisherigen Werdegang, ihren Einfluss auf den deutschen Kochbuchmarkt und die positive Entwicklung des UMSCHAU Buchverlages unter ihrer Führung.
Edouard Cointreau, der Initiator des Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, begründet das Urteil der Jury wie folgt:
“We decided to give a Special Award to Katharina Többen for her outstanding career. She has contributed to the renewed spirit of German cookbooks, with a clear vision of the new trends, the needs of the readers, and the potential of new authors. She has had a definite impact on all the sector in Germany, with many following now her ideas. She is also a very kind and considerate person, with many human qualities. She even has an unusual understanding of the international cookbook sector.”
